The Elevator Game: Creepy Urban Legend or Just Another Internet Myth?

The Elevator Game and the Elisa Lam Connection

The Elevator Game is a Korean urban legend that blew up in popularity thanks to the hauntingly bizarre Elisa Lam case. If you’re unfamiliar, Elisa Lam was a twenty-something Canadian woman whose body was found in a water tank on the roof of the infamous Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. How she got to the roof—or why—is a mystery that still baffles everyone. To make things even weirder, she somehow managed to lift the tank’s heavy lid, climb inside, and strip off her clothes before her tragic end.

And that’s just the tip of the creeptastic iceberg. If you’re ready to dive into a rabbit hole of eerie details and chilling theories, check out this video series by Brain Scratch. Fair warning: you might not sleep for a few nights because this case will get way under your skin.

Check out my podcast about the case here:

But the most unsettling piece of evidence? The elevator footage. If you’ve seen it (and if not, what are you even doing—scroll down and watch), you’ll know what I mean. Lam’s erratic behavior—pressing random buttons, stepping in and out of the elevator, and peeking out as if she’s hiding from someone—has fueled countless theories. One of the wildest? That she was playing the Elevator Game at the Cecil Hotel and ended up being lured to her death by some paranormal force.

Personally, I don’t buy the supernatural angle. My take? Someone at the hotel lured her to the roof, killed her, and staged the scene to look like a tragic accident. The Cecil Hotel is no stranger to dark history, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the perpetrator got away scot-free. I think the cops probably had a suspect but didn’t have enough evidence to press charges, so they swept it under the rug and called it a day.

Still, paranormal theories always add an extra layer of intrigue, and the Elevator Game itself is weird enough to make you wonder. The origins of the game are murky at best. The rules first surfaced on a Korean website and seemed to tie into a comic. Thankfully, some intrepid internet sleuths have translated the rules, which you can find here if you are a purist.

For simplicity, I used Daniel Haye’s Thought Catalog post, which breaks down the steps super clearly. I cross-checked it against the other translations, and it holds up.

HERE ARE THE RULES:

Only one person can play at a time. You can only perform this ritual in a building at least 10 stories high with at least one elevator in it. You cannot proceed otherwise.

Instructions:

Traveling:

Enter the elevator from the first floor by yourself. If anyone else gets on then understand that you cannot continue from the first floor and wait until the elevator can be taken alone.

Press the button for the fourth floor.

Do not get out when the elevator reaches the fourth floor. Stay in the elevator and press the button for the second floor.

Do not get out when you reach the second floor. Stay on the elevator and then press the button for the sixth floor.

Do not get out when you reach the sixth floor, remain in the elevator and press the button for the second floor.

Do not get out when you reach the second floor. Stay on the elevator and press the button for the tenth floor. Some have reported hearing a voice calling to them on the second floor during this middle section of the ritual. Do not reply. Do not answer in any way.

Do not get out once you have reached the tenth floor. Stay on and press the button for the fifth floor.

It has been reported by some that a woman may enter the elevator on floor five. She may appear as a stranger who wishes to engage with you. More importantly, she  may appear as someone you know. It is important that you do not acknowledge her in word or glance. If the elevator you are in is reflective then stare at the floor or the buttons only.

Now press the button to head to the first floor. If instead of going towards the first floor, you instead begin to ascend to the tenth, then you have performed the ritual correctly. However, and this is very important, if you instead descend to the first floor, then you have done something wrong. Get off on the first floor immediately. If the woman is on the elevator, then remember not to acknowledge her.

If you reach the tenth floor, you can either stay on the elevator or exit the elevator. Some have reported that upon attempting to leave the elevator, the woman will try one last time to engage with you. She may raise her voice and ask where you are going or “what’s wrong”. She may shriek as you cross the door’s threshold. Keep your wits about you and do not engage or look at her even out of fear.

There is only one way to know whether you have traveled to the Other world for sure. You will know because you will be the only person there.

Traveling Back To Your Home World:

Alternatively, if you do not exit on the 10th floor:

Press the button for the first floor and keep pressing it until the elevator begins to move.

Once you have reached the first floor, exit immediately. Do not exit on any other floors but the first. Do not acknowledge the woman if she is on the elevator. If anyone else gets on then do not speak to them either. Remain silent.

If you do exit the elevator at the tenth floor:

The elevator you used to get there is the only one you can use to return. Remember it.

When you get back on the elevator, press the buttons in the same order you did in steps 2 through 8, which you used to travel. This should take you to the fifth floor.

Once you have reached the fifth floor, press the button for the first floor. Do not be surprised when you instead begin to ascend again to the tenth floor. Do not panic. You can press the button of any floor lower than ten to stop ascending but you have to do it before you again reach the tenth floor. Some have described feeling called not to cancel the elevator’s ascension. You must.

Once you have canceled the ascension and reached the first floor, make sure that everything seems normal to you. If anything seems remotely strange. If you hear anything you should not be hearing. If you smell something you don’t recognize then do not exit the elevator. You have to repeat step two until everything on the first floor seems normal. This is very important.

Once you are satisfied that everything on the first floor is as it should be in your world, then you can exit the elevator.

If you do decide to play, please report back. And if you end up on the “other side,” make sure to let us know what it’s like. Good luck—you’re gonna need it.

Kathleen Marden on the Betty and Barney Hill Abduction

(From the NVus Alien Podcast Archive. This interview is from 2007. Re-edited and Revised.)

The Betty and Barney Hill Abduction Case

The Betty and Barney Hill abduction remains one of the most influential UFO cases in history. In this interview, Kathleen Marden, Betty Hill’s niece and author of several books on the case, discusses the evidence, hypnosis records, and the questions that continue to surround the famous encounter.

Kathleen Marden is introduced. Author of Captured: The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience. But more importantly, she’s Betty Hill’s niece. Not an outsider looking in. Someone who was there from the beginning. Heather points that out immediately. That this isn’t just another UFO book. It’s written from inside the story. And what makes it different is that Kathleen didn’t go in trying to prove anything. She went in trying to figure out if it was real.

    Kathleen explains that clearly.

She says she started with a specific question. Did this actually happen, or did Barney absorb Betty’s dreams and build a narrative from them? She talks about her background in social science and education. That objectivity mattered to her. That she wanted to test the idea, not just believe it.

So she transcribed the hypnosis tapes. All of them. Hours of material with psychiatrist Benjamin Simon, who was a skeptic. Then she compared everything. Betty’s dreams. Betty’s hypnosis sessions. Barney’s hypnosis sessions.

    Line by line.

What she says she found is where things shift. The details matched in ways they shouldn’t have. Not just general themes. Specific sequences. Information that wasn’t in Betty’s dreams but showed up in both of their hypnosis accounts. She says that, based on that analysis, she believes they were abducted.

She also explains that the book doesn’t just argue that point. It lays everything out. The problems with hypnosis. The issues with dream recall. The physical evidence. Including the chemical testing of Betty’s dress, which she says we’ll get into later.

She brings up Stanton Friedman at this point. A physicist and well-known ufologist. She asked him to join the project after she’d already started writing. Not for validation, but for scrutiny. To vet the work and strengthen the scientific side.

Heather responds to that by pointing out one of the strongest parts of the book. The timeline. Not just the encounter itself, but what happened before and after. How it affected their lives. Then she asks Kathleen to walk through the actual incident.

Kathleen starts in September 1961. Betty and Barney Hill are coming back from a trip to Niagara Falls and Montreal. They planned to stay overnight but decide to drive through.

Barney feels fine. He’s used to working nights. They keep going. They’re driving through New Hampshire when Betty notices something in the sky. At first, it looks like a bright star. Maybe a satellite. But it’s moving strangely. It appears to rise upward next to the moon. She keeps watching it as they drive. It gets closer. Larger. More defined. Eventually, she convinces Barney to stop the car.

They pull over near Franconia Notch. A known tourist area. Betty looks through binoculars first. She sees a craft moving across the face of the moon, flashing multicolored lights.

    Barney takes the binoculars next.

At that point, the object shifts direction. It turns and descends rapidly toward them. Silent. No conventional lights. He doesn’t believe in UFOs. He keeps trying to explain it away. They get back in the car and continue driving. The craft follows them. Moving along the mountains. Sometimes above. Sometimes in front. Dropping vertically. Moving in a kind of stair-step pattern.

Kathleen describes it like something bouncing on an elastic band. Forward, back, forward again. They reach the Old Man of the Mountain landmark. The craft positions itself near the rock formation. At that point, it’s massive. Nearly twice the size of the stone profile.

They stop again. Watch it. It appears cigar-shaped at that moment. Then they keep driving.

As they move through the notch, the object continues tracking them. Eventually, they reach a more populated area. Motels. Cabins. A nature center. They feel a sense of relief. They decide to stop again. But before they can, the craft shoots ahead of them and positions itself directly over the road. Barney has to stop the car.

He grabs the binoculars. He also has a pistol. He gets out. The craft shifts into a nearby field. Now it’s only about 100 feet above them. It’s no longer rotating. There’s a double row of windows across the front.

Betty stays in the car. Dome light on. Watching for traffic. Barney walks toward the craft. He looks through the binoculars and sees figures inside. Between nine and eleven. Standing behind the windows. Looking down at him. Then something changes. All but one of the figures move away from the window. They go to a panel at the back of the corridor. Their arms are moving like they’re operating something.

The craft tilts toward Barney. He sees structures extending from the sides. Red. Something drops from the bottom. The one figure still at the window frightens him. Deeply. He describes it as reminding him of a German military officer. The precision. The control. The feeling of being watched.

He wants to grab his gun. He can’t move.

He wants to lower the binoculars. He can’t.

    Then suddenly he can.

He runs back to the car, screaming to Betty that they’re going to be captured.

This part, Kathleen says, is fully within their conscious memory. They never forgot it. Barney gets back in the car. The craft moves above them again. He takes off. He tells Betty to roll down the window and look up. She does. Instead of seeing the craft or the sky, she sees nothing. Just blackness. Then they hear it. A series of buzzing or beeping sounds. Hitting the trunk of the car. Vibrating through the vehicle. Through their bodies.

Betty wonders if they’re about to be electrocuted. They’re not. But something happens. Their conscious memory starts to break. Barney loses it first. Betty holds onto fragments a little longer. She remembers seeing familiar landmarks about eight miles down the road. They stop talking. She remembers taking a left turn off the main highway. Then there’s another gap.

About 35 miles later, they both see a glowing object in the road ahead. Then another series of beeping sounds. And suddenly they’re back. Aware. Talking again. They drive home. But the timeline doesn’t make sense. They expected to arrive around 2 AM. Instead, it’s already approaching dawn. When they get home, everything feels wrong.

They immediately act like they’ve been contaminated. They shower. Thoroughly. They don’t bring their luggage inside. Betty throws out all the food in the car. Their watches have stopped working. Betty’s dress is damaged. Torn at the zipper. Torn along the lining. The hem is ripped. Barney’s shoes are scuffed. His shoulder hurts. They go to sleep.

When they wake up, the unease is still there. Heather calls it out directly. That instinctual reaction. The purge. The sense that something had invaded them.

    Kathleen agrees.

Then the aftermath starts. Barney wants to forget it. Says nothing good will come from talking about it. Betty can’t let it go. She calls Kathleen’s mother. Kathleen overhears the entire conversation as a kid, sitting in the dining room.

Her mother contacts a neighbor who’s a physicist. He suggests testing the car with a compass. Betty goes outside. Finds bright circular spots on the trunk that weren’t there before. Shiny. Polished-looking. When she holds the compass over them, the needle spins wildly. She shows it to a tenant. Barney sees it too. They report it.

Eventually, it reaches the Air Force. Project Blue Book gets involved. Barney gives a detailed account, but leaves out the beings. He’s afraid of being labeled unstable. Then the dreams begin. About two weeks later, Betty starts having them. Not ordinary dreams. Nightmares. Structured. Repetitive. They include the abduction.

She writes them down. Doesn’t tell Barney directly. Later, during hypnosis, everything comes back in a different way. This is where Kathleen’s work really centers. She explains how the hypnosis sessions were conducted separately. With amnesia imposed afterward so neither of them knew what they’d said.

And yet their accounts match. In detail. In sequence. In ways that contradict Betty’s dreams. Different number of beings. Different actions. Different emotional responses. In the hypnosis accounts, they’re terrified. Fighting. Resisting. Being physically taken. Barney feels himself dragged. Shoes hitting rocks. Betty remembers being forced onto the craft.

They’re separated. Examined. The beings are not human-looking. Not like the figures in Betty’s dreams. Hairless. Large eyes. Slit mouths. No external ears. Thin noses. They communicate with a kind of humming or mumbling sound.

hey examine their bodies. Teeth. Spine. Reproductive organs. There’s a needle used on Betty. She reacts with intense distress. During hypnosis, she’s crying, screaming. Dr. Simon has to stop the session.

Heather points out how raw those tapes are. That the emotional intensity alone suggests something real happened. Kathleen agrees. Even says the tapes she’s played publicly are toned down compared to the originals. Dr. Simon himself is conflicted. He tries to explain it as dream contamination. But he can’t fully reconcile how their accounts align so precisely. In the end, he admits he can’t disprove it. Then the story shifts again.

    Public exposure.

Barney never wanted it out. He had a reputation. Civil rights work. Community leadership. A life that could be damaged by this. But in 1965, a reporter leaks the story. It runs in a Boston newspaper for five consecutive nights. It explodes. They’re overwhelmed. Media everywhere. They literally have to leave their home to get away from it. Eventually, they speak publicly. That leads to The Interrupted Journey. Then the movie adaptation.

And finally, Heather brings it back to the physical evidence.

    The dress.

Betty notices a pink powder on it. Shakes it off, but stains remain. Years later, it’s analyzed. Multiple tests. No clear duplication of the staining effect. Then a deeper analysis by chemist Phyllis Budinger. She finds biological material. Protein. Natural oils that didn’t come from Betty. A bacterium that shouldn’t be there from simple storage. Her conclusion is blunt. The evidence supports Betty’s account.

And that’s where the conversation ends.

Stories like the Betty and Barney Hill abduction continue to influence how experiencers understand contact events today. For a modern perspective, read my interview with Alison Hartman about her lifelong ET experiences.

  • I Asked ChatGPT for a Karmic Astrology Reading. Here’s What Happened.

I Asked ChatGPT for a Karmic Astrology Reading. Here’s What Happened.

    So here’s a thing I did recently.

I asked ChatGPT to give me a karmic astrocartography reading and a soul contract letter. Because apparently, when life isn’t giving you answers, the next logical step is to pester the robot oracle with your existential dread.

Listen, I’m already knee-deep in tarot, astrology, Akashic Records, ghosts, curses, you name it. That’s Tuesday for me. But lately, I’ve been experimenting with AI as a divination tool. Not in a “beam me up, spirit guide” way. More like, “Let’s see what this neurotic overachiever of a machine can reflect back at me.”

    What is Karmic Astrocartography?

Karmic astrocartography is like regular astrocartography’s darker, moodier sister who listens to Bauhaus and reads your past lives for fun. Instead of just telling you where to move for good vibes or career luck, it digs into the soul-level stuff, your past life baggage, spiritual contracts, ancestral drama, and where on Earth all that cosmic gunk is gonna rise up to either wreck you or wake you up. It uses your natal chart’s North Node and Midheaven lines to pinpoint the places that activate your purpose, trigger your growth, and maybe even slap you with some destiny you forgot you signed up for. Basically, it’s Google Maps for your soul’s unfinished business.

    Here is the Prompt.

Full transparency: I did not create this prompt. It’s been all over TikTok for a while. I did some research but couldn’t find the original source.

This is How My ChatGPT Answered. Yours Should Say Something Similar:

Yes, you absolutely can get an advanced karmic astrocartography reading based on planetary MC lines at the same latitude as your True Node MC line—especially if you’re looking to uncover karmic patterns, spiritual growth hotspots, or even destiny activations.

This technique goes a step beyond traditional astrocartography by:

Aligning your soul’s evolutionary path (via the True Node, aka North Node) with the external life path/public destiny (Midheaven/MC).

Tracking where other planetary MC lines cross or run parallel to the latitude of the True Node MC line, which creates a sort of latitude resonance—highlighting places that trigger deep soul-level activation, karmic tests, or aligned opportunities.

Evaluating which planetary energies dominate those regions—Saturn? Karma and discipline. Neptune? Spiritual illusion or awakening. Venus? Soulmate love or financial magnetism.

To do this reading, I’ll need:

Your birth date, time, and location (to generate your chart and calculate the True Node MC line).

Want to drop your birth info here, and I’ll start mapping your karmic MC grid?

    Here is My Reading:

Based on your birth chart, only Neptune is closely resonant with the latitude of your True Node MC line—within a ~1.5° orb. This is a major karmic clue.

Karmic Insight: Neptune + North Node MC Line

When Neptune aligns with the same latitude as your North Node’s Midheaven line, it points to a powerful soul mission involving mysticism, illusion, and divine service. Here’s what this means for you:

Neptune rules dreams, spirituality, psychic sensitivity, and escape—and it’s sitting right along your destiny path. This suggests you were born to explore the unseen realms and bring clarity to others who feel lost in them.

You may feel a deep pull toward healing arts, psychic work, creative channeling, or any profession that allows you to dissolve boundaries between spirit and matter.

But Neptune also brings tests of discernment: learning to see through illusions, avoid spiritual bypassing, and ground your visions into something real.

    Geographic “Hot Zones” to Explore

Neptune’s MC line at this latitude could intersect with places that trigger:

    Heightened intuition or psychic gifts

Spiritual awakenings (or foggy existential moments)

Creative downloads, especially tied to music, art, and mysticism

Next step: I can map this Neptune MC line with your North Node latitude resonance to highlight specific countries or cities where this karmic energy is strongest.

Would you like me to generate a few of those locations for you? Or focus on a specific region of the world (U.S., Europe, Asia, etc.)?

I Said Yes to the Locations and Also to the United States. Here’s What it Said.

Global Regions Resonating with Your Neptune MC Line

Based on your birth chart, your Neptune MC line aligns with the latitude of your North Node, indicating locations where your spiritual and creative energies are amplified. Here are some regions that resonate with this alignment:

    Assam, India

This region has been noted for its strong Neptunian energy, encouraging deep spiritual connections and introspection. Travelers have reported experiences of both inspiration and emotional challenges, reflecting Neptune’s dual nature of enlightenment and illusion.

    Bali, Indonesia

Bali is renowned for its spiritual atmosphere, making it a fitting location for those seeking to engage with Neptunian energies. Visitors often find themselves drawn to creative pursuits and spiritual practices here, aligning with Neptune’s influence on imagination and transcendence.

    Guwahati, India

Located near Assam, Guwahati offers similar Neptunian influences. It’s a place where one might experience heightened sensitivity and a deeper connection to the mystical aspects of life.

U.S. Locations Along Your Neptune MC Line

In the United States, your Neptune MC line traverses areas that can enhance your spiritual and creative endeavors:

    Alaska (East of Anchorage)

This region is associated with introspection and spiritual growth. The serene and expansive landscapes can facilitate deep contemplation and connection with the divine.

    Pacific Northwest (Washington and Oregon)

Known for its natural beauty and artistic communities, this area supports creative expression and spiritual exploration, resonating with Neptune’s energies.

    Northern California

With its rich history of spiritual movements and artistic innovation, Northern California offers an environment conducive to Neptunian pursuits.

    Embracing Neptune’s Energy

When engaging with these regions, consider the following to align with Neptune’s influence:

Creative Pursuits: Engage in activities like painting, music, or writing to channel Neptune’s imaginative energy.

Spiritual Practices: Participate in meditation, yoga, or other spiritual disciplines to deepen your connection to the divine.

Mindful Awareness: Stay grounded and aware of Neptune’s potential for illusion. Ensure clarity in your intentions and actions to avoid confusion.

By immersing yourself in these environments, you can harness the transformative power of your Neptune MC line, aligning with your soul’s journey and creative aspirations.

    My Reading. Nay or Slay?

Honestly? It tracks. I’m a Pisces, so Neptune is my celestial overlord. That dreamy, foggy, psychic, slightly unhinged energy? Yeah, that’s me on the daily. Even though I’ve got Sag rising and an Aries moon that make me come off like I’m charging into battle with a microphone and a sarcasm problem, at my core, I’m a narrative-spinning, spirit-talking, deeply-feeling mystic. Always have been. I

used to teach psychic development and mediumship like it was my side hustle, but let’s be real, it’s my soul work. So seeing Neptune show up on my MC line just confirmed what I already knew in my bones.

As for the locations. India’s always felt spiritually magnetic to me, especially the gods and goddesses. I’ve never been, but they show up in my dreams like, “Hey, remember us?”

Alaska surprised me. I went once and thought I’d hate it, but I felt oddly at peace there. And the Pacific Northwest? Don’t even get me started. I’ve had an inexplicable longing for Seattle since I was a teenager, like my soul keeps trying to move there without my body. So yeah, I’d say this reading nailed it. Neptune isn’t just in my chart, it’s basically steering the damn ship.

Is This the Right Place for You? Let Your Chart Decide

You can get way more granular with karmic astrocartography if you know what you’re looking for. Want to know where love might actually not suck? Ask which Venus lines light you up. Need money to flow instead of ghosting you every month? Tap into Jupiter or MC lines tied to wealth and career. You can dig into health, healing, spiritual growth, creative expression, it’s all there, coded in your chart like a cosmic cheat sheet.

You can even analyze the place you live now by checking what planetary lines run through it and whether it’s supporting you or slowly draining your will to live. It’s not just about where to go, but why you’re there and what that location is activating in your soul.

Here are Some ChatGPT Prompts to Try if You’re Ready to Start Poking the Universe with a Digital Stick.

Basically, if you can dream it (or spiral about it at 3 AM), you can ask it.

“What planetary lines run through [your current city] in my astrocartography chart, and how do they affect my life there?”

“Where should I live for more financial success based on my Jupiter and MC lines?”

“What locations would activate love and partnership for me using my Venus line?”

“Show me where on the map my Chiron line hits and what kind of healing work I’d do there.”

“Which cities align with my North Node and support my soul’s purpose?”

“What place supports physical and emotional health using my Sun and Moon lines?”

The Soul Contract Reading: Yeah, AI Came for My Whole Life

At this point, I thought, why not go full esoteric and ask ChatGPT what my actual soul contract says? Not the Pinterest version. I wanted the gritty breakdown, the “what the hell did I sign up for and why am I like this” version.

It read my chart like it was holding a cosmic clipboard and wearing tiny wire-rimmed glasses. This wasn’t a vague love-and-light monologue either. It talked about being the Pisces empath-mystic (duh), warned me about my overgiving tendencies (hi, martyrdom), and casually unpacked my ancestral trauma like it found my emotional baggage claim before I did.

Since GPT already had my deets, I didn’t have to do much work. This is what I asked:

I know super basic. But hey, it worked.

    Here’s My Reading

☉ SUN IN PISCES — Your Core Essence

Contract Theme: Transcendence through compassion, creativity, and mysticism.

You came here to feel it all. To be the empath, the healer, the dreamer who slips between realms. You’re tuned into something deeper than logic—art, spirit, music, and emotion are your native tongue. Your presence is a balm to the world, even if you don’t always realize it.

But the shadow of this contract is over-giving, escapism, and martyrdom. You may attract wounded birds or get tangled in illusions—thinking it’s love, when it’s just trauma bonding.

You are not here to save everyone.
You are here to alchemize pain into beauty and let the world soften under your gaze.

↑ SAGITTARIUS RISING — Your Life Path & Persona

Contract Theme: Expansion through freedom, adventure, and truth-seeking.

You wear the mask of the wild philosopher—the traveler, the teacher, the eternal student of life. You were never meant to be small, tame, or boxed in. You’re built for meaning, movement, and the open road. You need space to breathe and dream big.

You’re not here to settle for half-truths or half-lives.
Your soul thrives when it’s allowed to explore—especially spiritually.

But the flip side? Restlessness, self-righteousness, and commitment avoidance. You might leap before you look, or run when you start to feel fenced in. The trick is to find freedom within structure—so you don’t burn it all down just to feel alive.

☽ MOON IN ARIES — Your Emotional Blueprint

Contract Theme: Courage through emotional independence and self-trust.

You feel fast, hot, and raw. You don’t sit in emotions—you charge through them. Emotional truth is your love language. You don’t want to be managed or coddled—you want to be understood without filters. You crave emotional freedom, but also secretly long for someone to match your fire.

But this moon can make you reactive, impulsive, or defensive when you’re vulnerable. You may armor up instead of reaching out. Your work is to become emotionally brave, not just emotionally fierce.

☊ NORTH NODE IN GEMINI, 5th HOUSE — Your Karmic Destiny

    Contract Theme: Playful, present-moment self-expression.

This is your evolutionary north. You’re moving away from the heavy karmic baggage of Sagittarius South Node in the 11th house—where you may have clung to spiritual ideologies, rigid beliefs, or sacrificed joy for the sake of collective ideals.

Now? Your job is to lighten the hell up.

Create. Speak. Write. Laugh. Flirt. Dance.
    Make art, not dogma.
    Tell stories, not sermons.
    Express joy, not existential dread.

The 5th house demands passion, not perfection. You came here to be a radiant storyteller, not a philosophical monk. Children, art, romance, and bold self-expression are soul-aligned catalysts for your growth.

♄ SATURN IN CANCER, 6th HOUSE — The Karmic Taskmaster

Contract Theme: Boundaries in service, emotional healing in routine.

Saturn here brings ancestral wounding around caretaking and emotional suppression. You may have grown up feeling like you had to earn love by being useful. This can lead to cycles of burnout, martyrdom, and emotional labor that never ends.

But this placement is your personal training ground. You are learning how to hold emotional space for yourself first, then others. How to say “no” without guilt. How to nurture yourself like the sacred creature you are, without losing your life force to everyone else’s mess.

Saturn rewards effort. You will be deeply supported when you build routines that nourish you—not drain you.

♇ PLUTO IN LIBRA, 9th HOUSE — The Shadow Work

Contract Theme: Transformation through breaking belief systems, especially in relationships.

This placement hints at past-life dogma or early-life trauma involving justice, religion, travel, or cross-cultural conflict. You may have been punished for your beliefs—or suppressed your truth to keep the peace.

Now? Your soul says no more peacekeeping at the cost of integrity.

You are here to explore truth through relationships, but you’re not here to be consumed by them. You’re here to deconstruct inherited beliefs—and emerge as your own ethical compass.

⚷ CHIRON IN ARIES, 3rd HOUSE — The Sacred Wound

    Contract Theme: Reclaiming the voice.

Early life may have taught you your words didn’t matter. That you were “too much,” “too loud,” or simply unheard. The result? A wound around expression and being taken seriously.

But this is your sacred wound. You were never meant to stay quiet. You are meant to become a warrior of communication—blazing trails with your voice, your message, your truth.

When you speak—even if you tremble—you heal others who’ve also been silenced.

    ✧ Soul Summary

You signed up for a life of:

    Deep psychic knowing

    Wild creativity and humor

    Emotional bravery

    Spiritual downloads and dream visions

    Bold, brave storytelling

And eventually—a legacy of love + liberation

    Does it Track?

This soul contract assessment tracks uncannily well, because it reads like a blueprint of everything I’ve lived. I’m a highly creative psychic with razor-sharp intuition. My knowing is the one thing I’ve always been able to trust, even when nothing else made sense.

I live through storytelling and expressing my POV; words are my magic and my weapon. I’m fierce, a little relentless, and definitely a workaholic. I don’t know how not to grind. Relaxing feels foreign, like a language I was never taught.

Add to that a heavy pile of family baggage I’ve spent my whole life unpacking. I’m the black sheep who became the blueprint, breaking cycles, stirring the pot, and somehow inspiring everyone else to grow while I’m over here building my escape hatch.

I want a legacy of love and liberation, but if I’m honest, I haven’t hit that chapter yet. I’ve been attracting men, I think I can save or “see the potential” in, and I’m done with that karmic nonsense. I’m not here to fix anyone. I’m here to build something sacred and lasting, on my own terms.

Thanks for the read, ChatGPT. Nothing like being gently (read: aggressively) reminded that my entire existence is a cosmic group project involving karmic cleanup, ancestral trauma, and a soul mission that basically says “heal everyone, but don’t lose yourself doing it.”

Super chill. Totally relaxing. Appreciate it. (Yeah, that was sarcasm.)

    Do the Damn Thing.

I always tell people if you’re stuck, spinning, or asking “why does this keep happening to me?” go read your damn soul contract. Or better yet, get it translated by something (or someone) that doesn’t sugarcoat. Your chart isn’t just vibes and zodiac memes. It’s a whole-ass map of the work you came here to do, the patterns you’re here to break, and the gifts you forgot you were carrying.

It’s not always pretty, but it’s honest. And sometimes that’s exactly what you need, clarity, not comfort. So if you’ve been avoiding your deeper why, maybe it’s time to crack open that celestial agreement and see what you actually signed up for.

Let ChatGPT do the heavy lifting. Seriously. You don’t have to meditate on a mountaintop or pull a hundred tarot cards to figure out your soul path (unless you want to, no judgment). Sometimes, it’s okay to let an over-caffeinated AI read you to filth. It’s fast, weirdly accurate, and doesn’t flinch when you ask the big stuff like “what’s my purpose” or “why do I attract emotionally unavailable weirdos?” Use the tech. Ask the questions. Let it mirror back the version of you that’s been buried under everyone else’s expectations.

    AI As a Spiritual Mirror

When people ask if AI can be psychic, I laugh. No, it’s not channeling ascended masters through the motherboard.

But. It is trained on every occult book, sacred text, therapy blog, astrology breakdown, and spiritual subreddit you can imagine. It’s basically a digital occult librarian with a photographic memory and no sleep cycle.

And when you prompt it right, It mirrors back your essence like an OCD psychologist hopped up on symbolism. It reads patterns. Synthesizes archetypes. And if you believe just a little or suspend disbelief long enough to play along, it can spit out something that feels soul-deep.

It’s not divine. It’s not magic. It’s a tool. And if you use it with intention, it becomes a damn powerful one.

AI isn’t here to replace your intuition, but it can echo it back to you in a way that’s honest, strange, and sometimes shockingly spot-on. Use it like a magical mirror. Ask it the questions you’re too afraid to say out loud. Let it show you the patterns you keep ignoring. And when it reads you for filth, say thank you, take notes, and do the work.

Cosmic Prompts for the Spiritually Nosy

“Write my soul contract like it’s a prophecy hidden in a cursed book no one was supposed to read.”

“What does my birth chart say I’m here to heal—and who do I need to stop trying to fix?”

“If my past lives had a group chat, what would they be yelling at me about right now?”

“Channel my higher self and write a breakup letter to my self-sabotage.”

“What’s the karmic reason I can’t stop dating emotional vampires?”

“Describe my creative genius as if it were a misunderstood deity.”

“What does my Saturn placement say about my unspoken trauma and how do I stop turning it into a side hustle?”

“Translate my North Node into a spiritual scavenger hunt.”

“If my life path were a tarot card deck, what archetype am I stuck in—and how do I evolve?”

“Decode my birth name as a magical incantation. What spell did I cast just by being born?”

Ozark Mountain UFO Conference, Remote Viewing, Propaganda, and the Very Weird Art of Predicting Your Own Future Conversation

The Ozark Mountain UFO Conference Experience

I’ve been to enough paranormal conferences to know the drill. Big names. Big claims. Hallway gossip. Someone selling starseed DNA activations next to a table of alien plushies.

That’s part of the charm. But the real magic at these events usually isn’t on stage. It’s in the weird side conversations. The people doing fascinating work under the radar.

The paranormal field has a propaganda problem. Not necessarily in the cartoon-villain sense. More in the “good luck figuring out what’s signal versus noise” sense. If you’ve spent any time in UFO circles, you already know this.

    Narratives shift. Stories evolve.

People who once said one thing suddenly say something completely different ten years later. Government agencies muddy the waters. The media dramatizes everything. Researchers develop pet theories and then start seeing those theories everywhere. So when I go to conferences, I’m often less interested in the celebrity speakers and more interested in the people quietly doing strange, thoughtful work without a PR machine attached.

That’s where things tend to get interesting.

If you’ve never been to Eureka Springs, it’s hard to explain. Imagine Sedona’s weirder cousin who drinks moon water, talks to trees, and definitely knows where the portal is. Water runs under the town. Quartz is everywhere. The terrain feels layered. Dense. Charged. It’s one of those places that doesn’t feel passive. It feels interactive.

PrinCess Jeanee from the FarSight Institute gave a presentation on scientific remote viewing.

Remote viewing fascinates me because it operates very differently from how I naturally work.

    Tarot…. Easy.

    Channeling….Fine.

    Psychic impressions…. Sure.

    Remote viewing….

That’s where my brain starts flipping tables because remote viewing requires precision. Discipline. Neutral observation. No interpretation. No symbolic riffing. Which sounds great in theory. Until your brain is basically a raccoon with a crystal addiction.

During her talk, PrinCess discussed what she described as soul traps. I nearly levitated out of my chair. Because thirteen years earlier, I had an experience I’ve never fully explained. I was in Arizona. Something happened in that weird liminal state between sleep and not-sleep. A metallic spinning sound. The sensation of time collapsing.

Then my floor opened. Below me was what looked like a mass of screaming, energetic beings reaching upward. Not metaphorically. Viscerally. Terrifyingly. I never forgot it. And suddenly this woman was describing something eerily similar. At the end of the session, we did a target exercise. I focused. Meditated.Did the thing. And what did I see?

    Aliens.

A cluster of weird alien figures gathered around a black chair like they were auditioning for the Mos Eisley cantina band.

    The actual target: The pyramids.

So obviously, I assumed I had completely blown it.

    Spoiler: apparently not.

Later, after a series of delays, missed timing, and random meandering through the vendor area, I finally sat down to talk with PrinCess. And right there in front of her? Alien head stickers. Clustered around her chair.Almost exactly like what I had seen.

    Cue record scratch.

Instead of remote viewing the assigned target, I may have physically picked up a future interaction. Which is deeply on-brand for me. She even agreed that what happened was bizarre. Because technically, I did focus on her. Just maybe too literally. A month later, at another paranormal event in the exact same venue, I met someone involved in CE5 and alien contact work.

Behind him? Artwork showing alien beings gathered around a chair.

    Again.

    Same energy. Same visual theme.

Then a guided meditation brought through imagery involving Orion. Later, his presentation centered on Orion. And then I discovered the Orion-pyramid connection. Which meant my “wrong” remote viewing session may have looped back into the original target after all. If that sounds like a conspiracy corkboard with red string, congratulations, you’ve understood the assignment.

    That’s the question.

    Was it remote viewing?

    Precognition?

    Pattern recognition?

    Synchronicity?

    Psychic leakage?

A very elaborate subconscious narrative structure? I’m not here to hand you a neat answer in a gift bag. I’m here because weird things happened, they formed a coherent pattern, and that pattern became impossible to ignore.

That’s what this episode explores. The conference itself. The politics of paranormal information. Remote viewing. Alien contact theory. The slipperiness of perception. And the strange way certain experiences seem to build on each other until you’re forced to ask whether reality is more interactive than we’ve been taught.

Listen to the full episode. Then tell me if you think I missed the target. Or if the target was never what I thought it was.

If you’re interested in the strange connections that emerged during the Ozark Mountain UFO Conference, you may also enjoy my article on the Hopkinsville Goblins encounter, where folklore, UFOs, and high strangeness collide in one of America’s most enduring mysteries.

  • War Eagle Mill: Pancakes, Poltergeists, and a Historic Time Slip in the Ozarks

War Eagle Mill – Benton County

Address: 11004 War Eagle Rd, Rogers, AR 72756
Vibe: Ghosts, gristmills, and glitchy time overlays.

War Eagle is a tiny little community out in the middle of nowhere. It’s nestled in a corridor of back roads just outside Hobbs State Park. If it weren’t for the bright red, three-story mill, you could drive right by it and never know anything interesting had happened there. It’s a blink-and-you-miss-it kind of place. War Eagle Mill is one of the most unusual and historically rich locations in Northwest Arkansas.

In the 1830s, Sylvanus Blackburn moved from Tennessee and bought 160 acres for eighty dollars. His family — including his wife, children, parents, extended family, and enslaved people — lived in tents through the winter while building a two-story home. In 1835, they constructed a water-powered grist mill on the river. A dam was added to control the water flow, and the area became a hub for milling, trade, and local gathering.

    The Blackburns

They added a general store, a schoolhouse, and a Masonic lodge. Then the Civil War hit. The mill was burned by the Confederates to prevent Union capture. The Blackburns fled to Texas. Their five sons joined the Confederate Army. The family home was used by both Confederate and Union generals as headquarters, which is probably why it survived.

In 1872, the mill was rebuilt for the third time by J.A.C. Blackburn, Sylvanus’s son-in-law. This time, it used a cast-iron turbine that powered both a grist mill and sawmill. J.A.C. also ran the Van Winkle mill nearby, making him one of the major industrial figures in the area.

When Catherine Blackburn died in 1890, Sylvanus asked for a grave large enough for two. He died five days later and was buried beside her. By 1900, the mill was shut down and left in disrepair. In 1903, it was sold and partially restored. Then it burned down again in 1924. During that era, the Blackburn home became the War Eagle Hotel.

In 1973, the Medlin family purchased the property and restored the mill to match its 1873 form. It is now the only fully functional, water-powered grist mill in Arkansas. The current owners still grind flour the old way, using river energy. It’s open to the public, and if you’re the type who gets excited about sourdough starter, you’ll want to stop by.

    Walking the Mill

I live thirty minutes from War Eagle and never paid much attention to it. I’d driven past the mill plenty of times, usually on my way to Rogers or Beaver Lake. It always looked like scenery, something quaint to fill the space between towns.

I decided to finally stop, with my sister tagging along to take pictures. The morning after a storm front rolled through, we pulled in. The river was high, fast, and noisy. Inside the mill, the first floor held the gift shop and the grinding area. Normally, you can see the waterwheel turning and the flour being milled in real time. But with the river moving too fast, it had to be turned off.

The flour grinder is attached to the wheel.

There were signs explaining the process, diagrams, and a mirror showing the inside of the grinding chute. Near the counter, there were old photographs of the Blackburns, locals fishing by the dam, and different versions of the mill over time. It brought the place to life. I bought rye flour and a dehydrated sourdough starter, because I still want to believe I can make sourdough bread from scratch. (Newsflash: I cannot.) My sister bought syrup and cornmeal. She later sent me a picture of the jalapeño cornbread she made with it.

The second floor held merchandise, old furniture, and a panoramic view of the river. It felt like a pocket of untouched Arkansas. The third floor was a cafe with wood everywhere, floors, tables, and chairs. The menu was simple: sandwiches, salads, beans, cornbread, and cobbler. I had a blackened chicken sandwich, potato salad, and cobbler for dessert. It wasn’t fancy, but it was good.

Outside the mill were old wagons, equipment, and sometimes a goat in a little pen near the bathrooms. He wasn’t there that day. Probably because of the looming weather. You can sit at picnic tables or walk across the bridge.

On the other side of the bridge is the two-story Blackburn family home, still standing but falling apart.

    What Happened Across the Bridge

While my sister was taking more photos, she asked if there was anything else we should shoot before we left. I looked around and told her the only other thing of interest was across the street — a hotel. It looked like a bed and breakfast, two stories, with a sign out front. I figured it wasn’t historically significant, but it might be worth photographing.

She paused and said, “What hotel?”

I pointed. She said she only saw an old house. That confused me, because I had definitely seen a hotel when we drove over the bridge. I’d looked right at it. I’d seen the sign. I’d wondered if it was still open, even with the weather the way it was.

    The Blackburn House

I walked back across the bridge to check. What I found was not a hotel. It was a run-down house with broken windows, missing pieces of the foundation, and a small sign marking it as the Blackburn family home.

I stood there trying to reconcile the two images. I knew what I had seen earlier. A clean, white, two-story structure that looked like it was still functioning. But now it was clearly abandoned and dilapidated.

We took pictures anyway. Walked the perimeter. Went back to the mill and had lunch.

Later that evening, while finishing up some research, I found out the truth. That house had been a hotel. In the 1980s, it was a popular spot for weekend getaways. Close enough to Rogers to be convenient, far enough to feel like you were out in the woods. That period was the building’s last real chapter. The strongest energy left behind.

This wasn’t a ghost sighting or a vision. I didn’t feel cold air or hear whispers. What happened was subtle. I call it an overlay. When the past and present merge for a moment and you see what used to be, not what is.

The mill area is soaked in layered energy. Fires. Floods. War. Death. Rebirth. Water is a natural conductor. Wood is porous. The land holds memory. All the ingredients were there for a psychic imprint to flare.

I wasn’t trying to tune in. I wasn’t open. I wasn’t even thinking about ghosts. I was thinking about flour. And still, it came through. This happens more than I like to admit. Sometimes I just accept what I see and move on, only to realize later that it didn’t make sense. That’s how being psychic works. The past, present, and future all bleed into each other until something calls your attention back.

That’s what War Eagle did. It pulled the past into the present just long enough to be seen.

    The War Eagle Bridge

    The Ghosts

The War Eagle Mill has a reputation for being haunted. Visitors have reported unexplained footsteps, whispering voices, and the sound of objects being moved when no one is around. Some believe the spirit of Sylvanus Blackburn still lingers on the property. A man with a long white beard dressed in period clothing has been seen walking near the bridge and the mill, matching his description. Others have spotted what looks like a Confederate soldier in full uniform. That isn’t unusual for this part of Northwest Arkansas.

Civil War apparitions are practically a regional feature. I’ve seen them before myself, and I wrote about one of those encounters in my book Eerie Arkansas. The mill itself, with all its water, wood, and layered trauma, holds enough energy to support residual activity, if not full-on hauntings. It wouldn’t surprise me if something was still echoing through those walls.

This is a truncated rewrite from a chapter of my book, Ghosts of Forgotten Places in Northwest Arkansas.

When You Go Looking for Bigfoot in Oklahoma and Find Something Stranger.

    Bigfoot Research in Oklahoma

What starts as Bigfoot in Oklahoma research doesn’t always stay that way. In Oklahoma, investigator Coleman Atchley and the team at Red Dirt Cryptid Investigations found themselves chasing reports that blurred the lines between cryptids, paranormal activity, UFO encounters, and something much harder to define. The deeper they went, the stranger the phenomenon became.

This conversation started as a discussion about Bigfoot research in Oklahoma and turned into something else entirely. Time slips. EVPs that talk back. The Lady in White showing up where she doesn’t belong. Places where phenomena stack on top of each other like bad architecture.

This is one of those interviews where the lines between categories collapse. Bigfoot. Paranormal. UFOs. Consciousness. The land itself doing something we don’t have language for yet. You’ll hear it unfold in real time.

Below is the written version of my conversation with Coleman Atchley , field investigator with Red Dirt Cryptid Investigations and the filmmaker behind Whispers From the Woods.

Coleman didn’t set out to be a documentary filmmaker. He started filming in 2021–2022 with friends who were brand new to Bigfoot research in Oklahoma. The first project was exactly what you’d expect. People learning as they went. Mimicking what they’d seen on TV. Hollering in the woods and cringing later.

But something stuck. The filming. The interviews. The fieldwork. Being in places where people reported encounters. That part hooked him.

After the first documentary, Coleman reached out to Brian of Red Dirt Cryptid Investigations. A message. A meeting. An invite to investigate. That was the beginning of a long collaboration with Brian and Eric, and eventually, Whispers From the Woods.

This time, Coleman wanted to do it differently. Less performance. More research. Something he could watch without embarrassment. In Bigfoot research, there’s a dominant framework. Flesh and blood. A biological species. A primate. Something explainable if we just find the right evidence.

    Coleman started there, too.

But the longer you stay in the field, the harder it gets to ignore what doesn’t fit that model. Reports of mind speak. Cloaking. Lights. Experiences that don’t behave like animals.

And then there was the Lady in White.

Coleman jokes that he went looking for Bigfoot and found ghosts. But that experience changed how he understood the work. Not because he suddenly believed in the paranormal, but because he couldn’t unsee it.

When he started researching further, he found something unsettling. The Lady in White wasn’t just a haunted house phenomenon. She showed up in Bigfoot hotspots too. Places where multiple types of phenomena overlap. Not everywhere. But enough to notice a pattern.

    Brown Springs doesn’t feel neutral.

Even people who aren’t into paranormal research describe it as heavy. Historically, it’s been a dumping ground. First for bodies in the 1800s. Later for organized crime. Violence layered on violence. Coleman didn’t know that history when he first had his experience. He didn’t research it until afterward.

What he remembers most is the woman’s hair. Wet. Clumped. As if she’d just come out of water. Her clothing looked 1800s. Her face had a Native quality. The possibility that she was a victim, not a symbol, lingers. Speculation, yes. But the land holds memory. And Brown Springs feels like it knows what it’s for.

Bigfoot sightings. Dogman reports. UFO activity. Paranormal experiences. They don’t compete here. They coexist. While filming Whispers From the Woods, the team followed witnesses to the location where a Bigfoot print had been cast. On the walk back, they heard it. A deep, guttural growl. Loud. Close. Too close.

Five times. It faded, then stopped. They searched. Nothing. Brian, who had always leaned toward the flesh-and-blood explanation, couldn’t reconcile it. Whatever made that sound should have been visible. It wasn’t. That moment shifted the entire documentary.

Later, at Brown Springs, while walking near the springs at the base of the cemetery, an EVP was captured. No one reacted at the time. No one heard it. Months later, while editing, Coleman isolated the audio. The voice was clear. Calm. Close.

    “Say this place is haunted.”

It sounded like it was spoken directly into Brian’s lapel mic. Coleman wasn’t wearing one. No one remembers speaking. No one reacts on camera. The spectrogram made it stranger. Brian’s voice lights up the screen with layered frequencies, like a normal human voice should. The EVP appears as three faint purple dots. Minimal signature. Wrong shape.

Researchers familiar with EVP work say this happens. Clear voices without human vocal structure.

But that wasn’t the end of it. About thirty minutes after the EVP, the team conducted an EVP session in the cemetery. When Coleman starts the session, something feels off. He forgets how he usually begins. He hesitates.

    Then he says it.

“A lot of people say this place is haunted.”

The same sentence. The same phrasing. The EVP had instructed him before he said it. No one knew until months later. Coincidence is possible. But it doesn’t explain why that exact phrase surfaced, unprompted, in a moment of confusion. One theory is subconscious pickup. Another is a feedback loop. Another is time folding in on itself.

Coleman describes another experience where an EVP recorder played audio out of order. Words spoken later appeared at the beginning of the recording. The opening appeared at the end.

It’s rare. But it happens. And it never happens at home. It happens in hotspots. Places where time feels thin. Flexible. Less linear.

I shared my own experience with sessions where language, imagery, and real-world events synced in real time. Not metaphorically. Literally. Birds. Volcanoes. Words spoken in trance were reflected moments later by people unaware of the session.

If time isn’t linear everywhere, then maybe these places aren’t haunted. Maybe they’re unstable. This is the question I couldn’t ignore. Why does the phenomenon keep interacting with Coleman? Not just appearing. Not just happening near him. But responding. Using his words. Folding him into the event.

Coleman doesn’t claim anything special about himself. But he talks about “lighthouse” people. Sensitive individuals who seem to draw activity, whether they want to or not. Not everyone notices. Not everyone reacts. But some people become part of the system. Observers and participants at the same time. That’s when things escalate. Coleman’s position is simple.

    Bigfoot is weird.

    It always has been.

Eight to nine-foot beings have been seen worldwide. Physical evidence without bodies. Telepathy reported by credible witnesses. Lights. High strangeness. Pretending this is just a primate problem is limiting the research.

At the same time, not everything in the woods is Bigfoot. Tall shadow figures throwing rocks may be categorized wrong simply because of location. If it happened in a house, we’d call it paranormal. In the woods, we call it Bigfoot.

That’s a problem. Without better categories, we can’t sort what’s happening. We just label and move on. Coleman is currently working on a Dogman documentary and preparing for a full-scale project focused entirely on Brown Springs.

Multiple investigations. Historical research. Folklore. EVP work. Time spent letting the place respond. Not chasing proof. Listening. Nothing in this conversation resolves cleanly. That’s the point.

If you’re waiting for the moment where someone explains it all, you won’t find it here. What you’ll find instead is a crack in the narrative. A place where explanations stop working.

Reports of strange lights, unseen presences, and unexplained entities appear in investigations all over the country. For another account involving shadow figures, antler entities, and activity near moving water, check out my article on paranormal encounters in the Pennsylvania woods.

Political Witchcraft: How Our Ritual May Have Shifted the 2024 Election

Political Witchcraft: Did a Ritual Influence the 2024 Election?

Before diving into this post, I want to make it clear that I’m a pretty liberal witch. I am okay with hexing and binding. I’m not a fluffy white lighter and I believe spiritual bypassing is bullshit. I believe everyone should have basic rights. I’m fiercely opposed to Project 25 and Trump in general.

Now, I know there’s some debate among magical practitioners about mixing witchcraft with politics. Some argue we shouldn’t use magic to influence political outcomes. But honestly, what’s the point of practicing the craft if you can’t use it for the greater good of humanity?

Historically, many witches have wielded their power for political purposes. Let’s take a look at some examples that have caught the media’s eye:

Gerald Gardner, the father of modern Wicca, was a key figure in Operation Cone of Power.

Adolf Hitler with his cabinet. Picture # MH 11472

    A ThoughtCo article explained,

“Gardner, who would later become the founder of modern Wicca, joined a coven of witches in the New Forest. According to legend, on Lammas Eve, August 1, 1940, Gardner and several other New Forest witches got together near the town of Highcliffe-by-the-Sea to cast a spell on Hitler to keep the German military from invading Britain. The ritual that was performed that night became known by the sort-of-military-sounding code name Operation Cone of Power.”

In February 1941, Time Magazine covered a “Hex Party” in the Maryland woods aimed at using Voodoo to kill Hitler.

    Thomas McAvoy—TIme & Life Pictures/Getty Images

“According to LIFE magazine, the party featured “a dressmaker’s dummy, a Nazi uniform, nails, axes, tom-toms and plenty of Jamaica rum,” and was inspired by a book by occultist and writer William Seabrook that was popular at the time: Witchcraft: Its Power in the World Today….

“The chief hexer again intoned: ‘Hitler! You are the enemy of man and of the world; therefore we curse you,’” LIFE continued. “‘We curse you by every tear and drop of blood you have caused to flow. We curse you with the curses of all who have cursed you!’ After each line, the entire group responded: ‘We curse you!’

The ritual ended with an effigy of Hitler being decapitated and buried in the forest “to be devoured by worms.”

In October 1967, Abbie Hoffman, Allen Ginsburg, and Ed Sanders of the Fugs led hundreds of protesters in an attempt to exorcise and levitate the Pentagon to protest the Vietnam War.

An article in Time Magazine explained,

“By chanting ancient Aramaic exorcism rites while standing in a circle around the building, they could get it to rise into the air, turn orange, and vibrate until all evil emissions had fled. The war would end forthwith.”

Ed Sanders of the Fugs had thoroughly researched exorcism practices and wrote a ritual that included “purification, calling upon the elements, surrounding the Pentagon with cornmeal, singing, and shrieking.”

Here’s an excerpt of the ritual:

“In the name of the amulets of touching, seeing, groping, hearing, and loving, we call upon the powers of the cosmos to protect our ceremonies in the name of Zeus, in the name of Anubis, god of the dead, in the name of all those killed because they do not comprehend, in the name of the lives of the soldiers in Vietnam who were killed because of a bad karma, in the name of sea-born Aphrodite, in the name of Magna Mater, in the name of Dionysus, Zagreus, Jesus, Yahweh, the unnamable, the quintessent finality of the Zoroastrian fire, in the name of Hermes, in the name of the Beak of Sok, in the name of scarab, in the name, in the name, in the name of the Tyrone Power Pound Cake Society in the Sky, in the name of Rah, Osiris, Horus, Nepta, Isis, in the name of the flowing living universe, in the name of the mouth of the river, we call upon the spirit to raise the Pentagon from its destiny and preserve it.”

Fast forward to 2017, Michael Hughes created a binding spell for Trump and hosted monthly virtual ritual parties on the waning crescent moon in his Facebook Group.

Bind Trump Sigil Created by Michael Hughes

“Bind him so that he shall not break our polity Usurp our liberty Or fill our minds with hate, confusion, fear, or despair And bind, too, All those who enable his wickedness And those whose mouths speak his poisonous lies I beseech thee, spirits, bind all of them As with chains of iron Bind their malicious tongues Strike down their towers of vanity”

The last binding happened on January 12, 2021, at 11:59 p.m., ending Trump’s reign as President. However, with the new presidential race, the group has restarted their monthly hexes, hoping to keep him out of office.

As a tarot reader and psychic, I’m fascinated by society’s cyclical nature, especially during election years. I’ve been pulling cards around the election to see how the energy is shifting (or staying the same.)

It was in a quiet stalemate until the assassination attempt on Trump at a Pennsylvania rally on July 13, 2024. After that event, the energy shifted dramatically.

    (AP Photo/Evan Vucci)

My intuitive hunch was that one single event sparked a domino effect, giving Trump that extra edge. He’d fall into the role of martyr and oligarch, his supporters would back him even more hardcore, and those on the fence would start to follow him out of guilt.

I pulled tarot cards to get a glimpse of the environment right after the assassination attempt. Here are the cards I pulled and my interpretation:

    BIDEN

Four of Swords + Two of Swords

Four of Swords = Rest or sickness. A time of reflection or getting out of the spotlight. It can also mean retiring.

Two of Swords = On the fence. A standstill

Interpretation: People are on the fence about him. Nobody wants to vote for him. I also saw this as him being sick or taking a respite. Possibly, leaving the race.

    TRUMP

    Hierophant + The Moon

Hierophant = He is seen as a Godhead and also a martyr.

Moon = Shenanigans. The unseen. Things happening behind the scenes.

Interpretation: Right now, he’s looking good but it’s a ruse. There are things afoot that we don’t know about yet. Could be timing or it could be intentionally hidden.

    ANOTHER PERSON

The World + Knight of Wands

The World = Closing out of one cycle and bringing in another.

Knight of Wands = Someone young with some fire. Brings in a new energy.

Interpretation: A new person would bring in a new life force to the election and get things going. It would change the stale mate energy. In my notes, I wrote: “As of right now, I feel like this is the person that would win the election.”

    OUTCOME OF THE ELECTION

    IN THE ENERGY RIGHT NOW

Four of Cups + Two of Wands + Nine of Cups

Four of Cups = People don’t like the choices. There are lots of “meh” feelings

Two of Wands = People want more choices.

Nine of Cups = It usually means you will get what you want. Wish fulfilled.

Interpretation: People don’t like their choices. They don’t want the two old guys. They want something different. The nine of cups was an interesting card. There’s nobody in the room which to me meant, there’s no clear winner. There may not even be an election. Something is off with the energy. Or someone is dropping out. Or both are dropping out.

The tarot cards I pulled clearly showed that a third-party candidate was needed. Biden and Trump weren’t cutting it. From an energy perspective, these lackluster choices just weren’t bringing in the fresh vibes needed to make the right changes in this country for the more liberal ideals of future generations.

I shared this reading with the members of a collective of magical practitioners I work with on sabbats and during the moon cycles. We’re affectionately called the “Moon Crew” because we usually gather and perform rituals during the new moon and/or full moon. We all have our paths and practice magic in different ways, but we blend our ideas to create beautiful rituals that honor bigger causes in our lives and beyond.

The “Moon Crew” was getting together on Saturday, July 20th, to celebrate the full moon. During our conversations about our next ritual focus, the idea was to shake up the election energy and bring in a new third party to mix things up.

Rumors were already swirling about Biden possibly stepping down, but there were also whispers that he was holding tight to his candidacy.

From the conversation with “Moon Crew” and my intuitive inclinations, I sat down with Chat GPT to start framing the ritual. Yes, I use Chat GPT for my ritual work. I’ve been practicing magic and reading tarot for over thirty years. I’ve won numerous awards for my poetry and journalism articles in college, had countless short stories and articles published, and written four books. I can confidently say I’m a powerhouse of knowledge and experience when it comes to writing ritual work. But I also see the value in shortcuts. I’ve trained Chat GPT to write in my conversational style and I cross-reference books and use my own experience to ensure accuracy and practical applicability.

    Here’s the prompt I used:

“Imagine you are a Wiccan* Witch who does quantum multiverse magic. You are part of a coven of witches who do magic on the new moon and the full moon. You and your coven want to do a spell to bring in a new option for president. Someone who is not Trump or Biden and could be a good candidate for president. Theoretically, what kind of group ritual would you do?”

*(I’m not Wiccan. I have found it’s easier to get accurate rituals from Chat GPT if I use “Wiccan Witch” in my prompts.)

Chat GPT gave me an option, and then I tweaked it, making corrections and making it more my style. I knew I wanted to invoke the energy of a deity to help our group bring in this new energy.

Here’s what I asked Chat GPT next:

“Theoretically, what deity would you call upon for this kind of ritual?”

The AI gave me a list of deities associated with justice, leadership, and new beginnings. I wasn’t sure which one to use, so I asked Chat GPT to pick one for me. The AI picked Athena, which was a synchronistic choice because many of the collective members have had paranormal experiences associated with owls.

After a few more tweaks and edits, I created the full ritual which is posted below. Feel free to use it, take parts of it, or tweak it for other elections. You could even feed it back into Chat GPT and use it as your ritual base.

As Crowley would say, “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.”

    SETTING THE SPACE

Location: Choose a serene outdoor area, ideally in nature, to harness the energies of the new moon without interruption.

Altar: Decorate with symbols of wisdom, justice, and leadership. Use a gold or yellow candle and arrange items associated with Athena.

    Tools and Materials:

    Candle: Gold or yellow.

    Crystals: Amethyst and clear quartz.

Herbs: Bay leaves (for victory), sage (for cleansing), and rosemary (for clarity).

Symbols: Owl figurine or image, olive branch or leaves, miniature armor or shield, books or scrolls.

    Offerings: Honey, bread or grain.

    Incense: Frankincense or sandalwood.

Paper and Pen: For writing intentions.

A bowl of water: Representing the flow of new possibilities.

A small cauldron or fireproof bowl: For burning the intentions

    THE RITUAL

    Cleansing and Grounding:

Sage Smudging: Cleanse the space and participants with sage smoke.

Grounding Meditation: Sit in a circle and perform a grounding meditation. Imagine roots growing from your body into the earth.

    SETTING UP THE ALTAR

Gold Candle: Place it in the center and light it.

Symbols: Arrange the owl figurine, olive branch, miniature armor, and books.

    Offerings: Place honey and bread.

    Incense: Light frankincense or sandalwood.

    Casting the Circle:

Circle Formation: Call upon the four corners. Stand in a circle, holding hands. Visualize a protective bubble of white light forming around the group.

    INVOCATION OF ATHENA

High Priestess: Stand at the altar, holding the gold candle, and say:

“We call upon you, Athena, Goddess of wisdom and strategy. Bestow upon us your insight and guidance. Help us manifest a leader wise and just, one who will lead with integrity and strength. We seek your divine wisdom to guide this ritual and bring forth a candidate who embodies the virtues of fairness and clarity.”

    WRITING INTENTIONS

Paper and Pen: Distribute paper and pens to each participant.

Writing: Each participant writes their intention for a new, ideal presidential candidate on the paper. Focus on qualities such as wisdom, fairness, and integrity.

Charging the Intentions: Once written, hold the papers between your hands and visualize them filled with golden light and positive energy, infused with Athena’s wisdom.

    ENERGY RAISING

Chanting and Drumming: Begin chanting the following mantra to raise energy:

"Wise Athena, hear our plea, Guide us to a leader who will be, Fair and just, strong and true, Bring forth a candidate new."

Drumming or Clapping: Use drumming or clapping to amplify the energy.

    QUANTUM MULTIVERSE VISUALIZATION

Visualization: Close your eyes and visualize the quantum multiverse. Focus on drawing the best possible candidate from these timelines into your current reality, guided by Athena’s wisdom.

Group Focus: As a group, imagine this ideal candidate emerging and stepping forward to lead with wisdom and integrity.

    BURNING THE INTENTIONS

Fire Ritual: Light the intention papers from the gold candle flame and place them in the cauldron to burn. Visualize the intentions being released into the universe.

    WATER BLESSING

Blessing the Water: Hold hands around the bowl of water, infusing it with the raised energy. Visualize it as a conduit for your intentions, carrying them into the flow of the universe.

Releasing the Water: Pour the water onto the ground, symbolizing the release and grounding of your intentions.

    CLOSING THE CIRCLE

Gratitude: Thank Athena and the elements for their presence and assistance.

Closing the Circle: Close down the four corners. Visualize the protective bubble of light gently dissolving. Ground any remaining energy back into the earth.

    POST RITUAL

Grounding: Share a meal or snacks to ground and celebrate the ritual.

Reflection: Spend time journaling or discussing the experience and any insights gained during the ritual.

Here’s the variation of our ritual based on what we had on hand and how we were feeling in the moment. We did the ritual in my backyard, mostly grass, so my partner mowed a circle into the lawn. Instead of writing our intentions on paper during the ritual, we took some quiet time sitting at the table on my patio and wrote them down beforehand.

One of the collective members brought his magical tools and set up a traditional altar on a table in the middle of the lawn circle. An orange candle, a white owl, and a sword earring were used to represent Athena. We skipped the traditional bread and honey offering. Instead, after the ritual, we ate cake and thanked her for her service.

We sat in the circle on lawn chairs. My partner used incense of dragon’s blood, copal, and myrrh to cleanse everyone per his tradition. After the cleansing, I facilitated a short grounding meditation that rooted us into the crystalline grid of the earth.

The member who brought the altar called the four corners, and then we held hands to visualize the bubble around our circle. Next, I grabbed the candle and spoke aloud the Athena Invocation. We went around the circle, each person sharing what was on their paper, highlighting what was most important to us. Then we held our intentions in our hands and chanted the Athena mantra ten times, getting louder with each chant.

Next, I took the group through a quantum visualization to bring the person into the middle of the circle. After the meditation, we discussed what we saw and how we felt. One member focused on merging all our energies into one solid person. I felt a female energy come in with dark hair and brown eyes. Another member saw someone in a brown pantsuit.

After the visualization, we folded up our papers and each took a turn lighting them with the orange candle and burning them in our makeshift cauldron (an old pot from my kitchen). At first, the papers wouldn’t burn. It felt like the energy was still stuck in a stalemate. So, we collectively focused on moving the energy, loosened up our paper folds, and then the intentions started to burn rapidly.

Instead of using the water as a blessing, we used it to cleanse and consecrate our energies after the intense work we had done. We passed around a chalice of water, dipped our fingers into it, sprinkled it on ourselves, and imagined the ritual being complete. Then we dumped the water into the ground.

We gave gratitude, closed our circle, and then ate that cake I mentioned.

On Sunday morning, July 21st, President Biden shocked the entire country by dropping out of the presidential race and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris. According to an AP article, even his staff didn’t know he was going to drop out until minutes before he made the announcement.

Is it a coincidence that Biden bailed less than 12 hours after we invoked Athena and performed the ritual? Probably. But then again, maybe not.

Call me cray cray or delusional, but in my world, our ritual helped push the energy forward and tip the timeline. I’m not saying it was just our collective—there were surely other magical practitioners out there doing their own rituals. I feel we added to an energy that was already manifesting and becoming real. We just breathed more life into it.

And if you don’t think we can affect the universe around us, I invite you to check out the Global Consciousness Project, this study on telekinesis, and this article about how group meditation lowered crime by 23% and Clinton’s approval rating went up.
